1st FebruaryDIY Felted Sweater Blanket. Easiest instructions I’ve read so far - still a ton of work, but worth it (I’ve done 2 quilts using small squares of flannel that have this same type of look and are gorgeous). From recovergirl here. *When I was going to do felting I looked up tutorials on felting in the washing machine. I found several that suggested different ways of doing it (putting the bags in mesh bags etc…) to keep from totally gunking up your machine.

1st AugustDIY The Beekeeper’s Quilt by tiny owl knits. Seen at One Sheepish Girl here. Pattern at Ravelry here. Good for knitting on the go. Tons of photos on the Ravelry site. Could someone knit this for me? It’s so fluffy!

20th JuneI went to the South Shore Art Center Art Fair in Cohasset, MA on Saturday and was excited to see so many talented craftsters!
One craft booth stood out in my mind - Hoosier Magnolia. Lots of colorful, hand-stitched quilted items. My favorite where t-shirts that told a story using textured and colorful fabric. They were excellent quality - so soft!
Click on the t-shirt to check out their site. Wish they had more info on who the artist is and where she got her start.

24th Mayquiltcottonfairysewingfairy print on cotton for baby quilt. I made this and still have some finishing to do. Really into sewing. Like the idea of creating new things with cool prints.
