DIY Cinnamon Oil. When I was in elementary school the commodity for sale was toothpicks with cinnamon oil. About $0.10 each. SO SIMPLE tutorial at Deliciously Organized here. *Cinnamon Oil is usually really expensive, so I’m all about saving money right now.
Really cool idea hipstertipster…and it is a great recycle - repurpose tip as well!! This tip is Tweet worthy.
Stuck for a housewarming gift? Bake some cupcakes or biscuits, and present them in domes or tubes made from small plastic bottles. Full instructions here.
DIY Felt Acorns. Tutorial from The Gunny Sack here. Beyond idiot proof - you can use material if you don’t have felted wool. These would look beautiful in those Oak Leaf bowls I posted here or in a beautiful ceramic bowl.
DIY Typerwriter Tea Towels. Tutorial at Word Up, Nerd Up here. When I was at Michaels Crafts I was suprised at how cheap these alphabet stamp sets are - like $10 (and that’s before your coupon!). You could make really thoughtful gifts with these and use quotes that are meaningful to the lucky receiver.
Free DIY Bookplates. Many different artists, sizes, genre, color, black and white etc… There is something for everyone. This is a great gift given with an acid free glue stick, or print them on sticker paper (although they are easier to remove - I think - using a glue stick). Found at My Home Library here. *Note: I’d print these on cardstock or heavier paper than just copier paper.
truebluemeandyou: Using Gems. Reblogging for day time followers.
DIY Gift Wrapping Using Craft Store “Gems”. Found at Fancy House Road here. I just found this idea really sweet. Take a bag of gems ($1 or much less) and arrange them nicely on a package for someone special.
