DIY Rolling Pin & DIY Cookbook Projects — Make Your Mark in the Kitchen!

I love personalizing things that I cherish at home, particularly in the kitchen. One of my favorite ways to personalize items is through using stamps because it is so easy. In my experience, it is definitely worth the investment to buy a nice set of full alphabet & number stamps. I bought mine at my favorite craft store in town, Lee’s Artshop.  I chose a classic font that I thought would look lovely on a variety of items over time but you can experiment.

For the rolling pin, simply buy an ink pad that is designed for a variety of materials (wood, fabric, paper, etc.). VersaCraft has such an ink pad as do a number of other manufacturers. Then, simply make your mark. I like to add my initials but you can add your full name (first name on one side, last name on another) or get creative with words. For example, one side could say “roll,” and the other side “me”—the options are endless!

For books that I love and do not plan on passing along to a friend after reading, I also like to use my stamps to personalize the inside cover to indicate it is part of my book collection. And for me, my favorite cookbooks are certainly not going anywhere.

So make your mark, and don’t be afraid to get creative with where you stamp and what you have to say!

Bubbly Bath Salts | Paula Parrish
I love bath salts, but honestly, I don’t enjoy a bath unless there are millions of bubbles! This DIY recipe is best of both worlds - an easy to use bath salt that gives you the bubbles you need. These would make a great gift - pop them in a mason jar and tie on mini scoop on with some pretty ribbon!
