I am fighting my way through an Associates Degree, wearing braces, learning a new language and becoming a fashion FANatic at the age of 40something.

I am my own private book club.
I usually read two books and a magazine or two at a time. Right now I am reading:
Hannah’s Dream, Diane Hammond: if you liked Water for Elephants (which I LOVED) this is a wonderful tale of a man who is hired to take care of Hannah a zoo elephant.
and
The Monk Upstairs, Tim Farrington (I just finished “The Monk Downstairs”)
I recommend both.
- I have discovered that King Arthur Flour in Vermont has the best "secret" ingredients to add to a cake mix to make it ULTRA.
- Also, I love my digital scale - I always weight my flour, etc. Oh yeah, can't forget about the Silpat I don't need any flour when rolling out my pie crust.
- Tell me what you MUST have in your baking arsenal.
